ABOUT BIG GLASSES
In 2021, Melissa Baldridge founded Big Glasses Consulting to help clients command more money for their better (and often hidden) assets.
She started in 2004, swinging tool bags and hauling diagnostic gear on construction sites to prove out the green premium in high-performance buildings and homes. She went on to co-create a green real estate development company that did exactly that — helping tilt metro Denver’s market toward higher prices for certified properties.
The same axiom scales to the enterprise: leading companies outperform their conventional twins by managing intangible assets better than their competitors do.
To help clients capture that green premium, Ms. Baldridge developed the proprietary BEV Platform — an algorithmic financial projector built on thousands of academic and industry-accepted research resources and the ROSI™ Corporate Sustainability Value Creation Assessment Tool. The BEV doesn’t just find the value. It shortens the deal-clock, moves the multiple, and puts a defensible floor under the price.
Moving to Regenerative Business
We believe managing well and explicitly intangible assets is a much-needed North Star to guide global capitalism because it moves business beyond the bare, legally required minimums. Yet it’s hardly the end of the road. Infinite growth can’t happen in finite systems, and the same is true for global capitalism.
Along with other vanguard companies, our goal is to create regenerative business – business that gives back more than it takes from natural resources and social systems.
This requires a big rethink of business systems, strategies, models and delivered value. We believe in the TINA approach with regenerative business – There is no alternative.
